The Playhouse

Visit Nottingham Playhouse for dance, comedy and theatre and a restaurant, with bar and deli – it’s in the city centre and easily accessible by public transport.


The Playhouse is a short walk from Old Market Square, and 15 minutes from the Victoria and Broadmarsh Bus Stations. There are also stops nearby on Angel Row, Maid Marian Way and Derby Road. Alight from the tram at the Royal Centre stop for a three minute walk to the Playhouse, or at Old Market Square for a 5 minute walk. Trams run frequently day and night. Again, you may be able to save money if you buy your travel ticket in advance with the Playhouse Tram Return offer.

Cycling and Walking

It’s easily accessible by walking or cycling with cycle networks through the City which can be used to access the site. There are a small number of bike parking stands at the venue.


Nottingham train station is a 20 minute walk away, or you can grab a taxi from the station forecourt. Many of the bus services pick up outside the station, or the Broadmarsh Bus Station is just a short distance from the station where you a wider choice of buses. Visit East Midlands Trains to plan your journey.
