Train stations

There are lots of rail stations across our region and the facilities at each one vary, so check out the transport links, parking and bike storage facilities before you set off.

Nottingham Train Station

Nottingham station has just undergone major redevelopment creating outstanding facilities. With easy access to the Tram and the Broadmarsh Bus Station, it is also served by a number of buses direct on Carrington Street.

Nottingham Train Station now has 512 car parking spaces and 88 covered cycle stands in the Citycard Hub.  The station facilities include waiting rooms, a ticket office, shops and cafes, a taxi rank, toilets and an ATM. More info.

Alfreton

With a car park for 104 cars and bike racks for 8 cycles Alfreton is a convenient station for commuting. The station boasts a waiting room and toilet facilities as well as a manned ticket office. More info.

Attenborough

Unmanned, with bus access via Long Lane.  Attenborough train station has 8 cycle stands covered by CCTV.  More info.

Beeston

Now with an independently run café, Beeston is seeing a regeneration ready for Line Two of The Tram.  Beeston boasts a manned ticket office and 16 cycle racks outside with CCTV coverage. The station car park has room for 23 vehicles. Access by bus is via stops on Queens Road, Station Road or Beeston Bus Station. More info.

Burton Joyce

Burton Joyce is a small unmanned station with a car park opposite. Access by bus is via Church Road or Stoke Lane. More info.

Carlton

Carlton is a small unmanned station with spaces for 20 cars. It is served by buses from Victoria Road.  More info.

East Midlands Parkway

East Midlands Parkway station near Ratcliffe-on-Soar provides easy access by car for use as a Park and Ride. With 850 parking places and 10 covered cycle racks the station also has waiting rooms, a café, ticket office and toilets. It is an ideal base for those longer journeys into London. More info.

Hucknall

Hucknall is the ideal place to combine train and tram.  The train station is shared with the tram, so that it is easy to use both. It is an unmanned station with space for 125 cars. The 6 cycle stands are covered by CCTV. Onward travel is via tram or bus, from Station Street. More info.

Newark North Gate

There are 35 covered cycle racks at Newark North Gate, plus 291 car parking spaces. With a café, ticket office, toilets and a waiting room it is a great place to catch the train. More info.

Newark Castle

With 10 cycle racks and 80 car parking spaces Newark Castle has easy access to bus services from the Great North Road and Bar Gate. Newark Castle is an unmanned station. More info.

Netherfield

Netherfield station at Colwick is a small unmanned station with easy bus access from Meadow Road. More info.
