Route planning – Train

Printed timetables are available to pick up at local stations, but the easiest way to plan your journey is online.  To plan a journey that includes tram or bus connections use Traveline East Midlands.  National Rail Enquiries will check all operators and ticket types and provide you with choices so that you can select the combination that suits you best.

If you would rather phone you can call 08457 48 49 50.  National Rail also offers a range of ways in which to check timetables and live information via phone call, phone apps, web or SMS. You can even personalise and download your own pocket timetable.

If you’re thinking about cycling to the station you can find out more about taking your bike on the train, or leaving it at the station.

Real-time information

To check current train departures and arrivals you can use the online live departure boards, and you can also check your service before you set off for any delays.
