If you do come into Nottingham in your car, why not use one of Nottingham City Council’s Park and Ride facilities, the greener option – 7 sites with over 4,000 spaces. You can park for free and then catch the tram or bus to your destination. In addition there are Park and Ride facilities near Stragglethrope off the A52 and at Cotgrave.
If you want to leave your vehicle in one of the major car parks, they are clearly signed on the routes into the City. Read about car parking locations, security and prices here.
Nottingham Travelwise provides information on car park occupancy so that you can check availability before you set off.
Nottingham also has thousands of on-street parking spaces, with prices dependent on which zone you are in. You can ‘pay and display’ by cash or card using the on-street machines. Find out more here.
You can also pay via mobile phone by registering with and using the RingGo! service. After registering you simply call the local rate number, provide the location code (shown on the parking meter signs), your car registration number and the length of time you want to park. Payment will then be taken from your debit/credit card. For free registration call 0115 8714000 or visit the MyRingGo! website. Please note that parking charges tend to be slightly higher when using this service.
