What the organisations that we work with say…

The Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre

Thank you to the Big Wheel for the FREE Travel Event at the Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre in Sept 2012. The event was supported by 40+ staff & visitors who received advice on cycle to work routes; bike security; bike maintenance including free bike MOT’s for staff and general information on greener travel options and the latest transport work across the city.

Using the details collected on the day, we are now looking into the possibility of setting up a cycle to work scheme and bike maintenance lessons for staff members. From a management point of view the Big Wheel were very helpful; knowledgeable and happy to accommodate throughout the whole process from initial contact right through to tidying up at the end of the session.

The Environment Agency

The Big Wheel are a great organisation to work with, they have helped us out with our travel survey identifying what the blockers are to green travel and then work with us on delivering a green travel event. The event was well organised and really interesting, with a lot of our staff engaging with the aims and signing up for further commitments to green travel.

Big Wheel staff were friendly, approachable and provided a variety of engaging resources for our travel event, from maps to a smoothie bike! They were happy to provide advice and guidance and were very knowledgeable on all things green. All in all a great day

Paul Smith

“Paul Smith Limited launched the NCT Employee Travel to Work Scheme in January 2012. We worked closely with Nicola Tidy at the NCT to set up the Scheme and this was pretty easy to do. We found that when the scheme was launched initially, we had quite a bit of interest from staff and the uptake was good.

Many of the staff who joined had existing Citycards and just could not believe how much cheaper it would be to organise through the Company and also easier as payments would be taken from their monthly pay. In the few months since the launch, the uptake has slowed. We currently have 20 staff members in the Scheme and we publicise the Scheme by posters on staff notice board and on our intranet.”
