The Royal Centre

The Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall (TRCH) are in the very heart of Nottingham. Attracting major touring dramas, opera, ballet, West End musicals and pantomine. Easy to get to by train, tram or bus and because they’re right in the middle of the city, easy to walk or cycle to from lots of other venues and locations.

Bus

Bus routes into the city centre will provide convenient access to The Royal Centre. Visit Traveline East Midlands to plan your journey by bus. You may be able to save money if you buy your travel ticket in advance with the Royal Travel scheme – they’ve teamed up with local operators to offer some fantastic travel fares!

Tram

The Royal Centre has its own stop on Line 1, so travelling from the North of the city is easy using one of the Park and Ride facilities. The tram also connects Nottingham Train Station with the Royal Centre, making it easy to travel in by train. Again, you may be able to save money if you buy your travel ticket in advance with the Royal Travel scheme.

Cycling and Walking

You can also walk or cycle to TRCH and our handy city cycle routes map and The Big Track car-free waterside route can help you get there. Plan your walking or cycling route to your destination using Traveline East Midlands and get your daily dose of excersise.

Train

Nottingham Train Station is a 15-20 minute walk from TRCH, as well as being located close to bus and tram stops at the Market Square or Theatre Square. Visit East Midlands Trains to plan your journey.

Car

The nearest car parks are on Talbot Street and Wollaton Street. Find out more about City Centre parking here. If you are using a Sat Nav, the postcode is NG1 5ND and there is a passenger drop off area for both venues. But if you’re travelling by car, why not use Nottingham’s Park and Ride facilities for easy access into the city centre by bus or tram? There may be special offers through the Royal Travel scheme.

Remember, if you’re planning to use the train and tram or bus you can buy one combined ticket called PlusBus or you can try a Robin Hood ticket.
