NCT’s bus figures break the 50 million mark!
The Big Wheel wants to say a big “well done” to Nottingham City Transport, who announced on 7th May that the number of bus passengers travelling on their network has reached 50.1 million!
Nicola Tidy, NCT Marketing and Communications Director, said “We’re really excited to have exceeded the 50 million passenger milestone, following good levels of growth on the network in the past few years.” And it’s no surprise that they’re doing so well – their Easyrider smartcard, which gives the owner unlimited NCT travel from as little as £1 a day for an Easyrider city or £1.99 for an Easyrider Anytime, makes getting around town easy and affordable. And they are continually investing in the bus network, both increasing frequencies and purchasing high quality brand new buses.
And there’s more to come – yes, really! 36 brand new, fully accessible buses will be appearing across seven routes in late May/early June. That helps to ensure that NCT’s buses stay amongst the youngest and most accessible in the country.
