Walking is the cheapest form of transport there is – you can’t do better than free! If you walk long distances or plan to walk out in the countryside it’s worth investing in some good quality trainers or walking boots, but otherwise you can just get up and walk anywhere without paying a penny. Average fuel costs per year now work out at just over £1,500 and with the cost of petrol expected to rise it might be time to stretch your legs.
Just imagine what you could get instead with that £1,500:
- 125 x DVD’s at £11.99 each – so you’ll have 2 new films to watch each week, with an extra one for bank holidays!
- A newspaper everyday for the next 8 ½ years
- 50 x pairs of shoes
- A once in a lifetime trip to India to go on safari and see tigers, elephants and all other types of exotic creatures!
So what are you waiting for? It’s time to get out there and put your best foot forward!
If we still haven’t convinced you why not browse the rest of the walking section for more information on why walking is the way forward?
