A new Nottingham Station – the regional gateway of The Big Wheel
A major new refurbishment will see Nottingham’s train station completely transformed.
The aim is to create an integrated transport hub, linking rail with buses, coaches, the existing tram line, two new tram lines and pedestrain and cycling routes. The station itself will increase in capacity with new track, platforms and signals being installed. This will enable more local trains to run to Nottingham as well as an increase in inter-city trains bringing more people into the city. What’s more, since the completion of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link from London St Pancras, Nottingham has a direct rail link to mainland Europe. For more information click here.
