Get to the airport, hospitals, workplaces, the universities and around your local area

There is joined up Linking behind the City Council’s new Link bus services. They fill in the gaps between the commercial services, with special emphasis on helping people get where they need to go. The Link bus services also make sure the Park & Ride sites are connected to the city centre through bus services, and cut congestion along key commuter roads.

Citylink 1 goes from Queen’s Drive Park & Ride to the city centre, and to Boots, via other major employment sites like Imperial Tobacco, Riverside Retail Park, Pork Farms, Queens Drive Industrial Estate, NG2 Business Park, Homebase, Castle Marina and the Inland Revenue. In runs every seven minutes Monday to Friday, and every six plus minutes on Saturdays.

Citylink 2 runs from the Racecourse Park & Ride to the city centre, via Colwick Industrial Estate and Netherfields Victoria Retail Park. Citylink 1 and 2 also connect the Victoria and Broadmarsh shopping centres in town.

Medilink is a recently extended free bus service linking the City Hospital and the Queen’s Medical Centre campuses of Nottingham University Hospitals. It runs every 10 minutes from 8.00am to 6 pm Monday to Friday and it gives the two campuses a high frequency link from the park and ride sites at Queen’s Drive and Wilkinson Street – where the parking is also free – and provides direct connections to the city’s NET tram.

Worklink is a group of services helping people get to employment sites.  There are currently four services in operation, heading to a diverse range of locations, including the Nottingham Business Park and Boots D82.  To view all details about the Worklink buses click here.

Unilink services connect Nottingham’s two universities to the city centre.

For Nottingham Trent University, Unilink 4 runs every 12 minutes from 07:30 until 19:00, with a half hourly evening service on weekdays during term time. It has been designed to fit around student life and lectures. The cheapest travel option for students is to activate their NTU Student ID card for bus travel, which can work out from just 90p per day. Full information is available from www.nctx.co.uk/students

For University Park, Unilink 34 runs every 7/8 minutes between the City Centre and University Park from 07:30 until 19:00, with a 15 minute evening service on weekdays during term time.  Unilink 31 links the Jubilee Campus to the City Centre, running every 20 minutes from 08:00 until 18:00, Monday – Friday during term time.  Full information is available from www.nctx.co.uk/students

Collegelink provides an affordable direct link between the City Centre and Bilborough College.  This service is only available to staff and students at the college, with the timetable planned to coincide with starting and finishing times for lessons.  To get all the details about Collegelink click here.

Centrelink is a new free service connecting Victoria Centre, the Old Market Square and Broadmarsh Centre.  Running every 10 minutes Monday – Saturday from 7am – 7pm, this service offers a vital cross-town link to everyone, whether they need to catch a bus or simply do some shopping.  Click here for more information.

Nottingham’s Skylink makes a trip to East Midlands Airport for a holiday or work very easy. It runs 24 hours, 7 days a week, connecting the city centre, the railway station, Trent Bridge, Wilford Lane and Clifton with Pegasus Business Park and the airport. Railink links the East Midlands Parkway rail station to East Midlands Airport, offering more sustainable transport choices to air passengers.

LocalLinksThe locallink family of bus services provide vital links for small estates to shops, health centres, leisure facilities and community centres. There are now 10 Locallink services funded by Nottingham City Council providing easy access to the local community, some of the locallink services also offer a demand responsive sections along the route, this means you can call and book a pick up and drop off at your door! The locallink buses are easy access and have space for wheelchairs and push chairs. Click here for more info.
