Having conducted a Travel Survey, the Sherwood Press Group has recently implemented a Staff Travel Plan with funds from the TransACT scheme. The Travel Plan is part of the company’s wider environmental strategy which has seen it significantly reduce the amount of waste generated in the last 5 years. Recent initiatives include:
- Installing a bike and motorcycle shelter for staff and visitors
- A car sharing network for staff to share journeys on the way to work
- Staff travel information boards
- Bike pool and signposting to Ridewise cycle training
- Participation in Sport Nottinghamshire’s Workplace Challenge, including internal team competitions
