Our Beacon Status
Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council were awarded Beacon status in Round 9 (2008/9) for Improving Accessibility for:
- Our partnership working to develop the Accessibility Strategy including the ongoing development of a programme of Local Accessibility Action Plans and input and support of a wide range of partners through the Accessibility Planning Partnership;
- Our accessible public transport services, particularly the development of a network of link bus services (Locallinks, Shoplinks, Unilinks, Medilink) and services to key employment sites: (Citylinks 1& 2, Skylink to East Midlands Airport and Robin Hood Airport Lynx) along with supporting travel information and ticketing initiatives;
- Our accessibility planning advice service which provides accessibility mapping and analysis through the NOMAD+ data sharing website.
