Access To Health
It is recognised that for some the lack of available and affordable public transport services presents a barrier to accessing health services and contributes to the health inequalities that persist across Greater Nottingham and North Nottinghamshire.
Improving access to healthcare and healthy lifestyles can make a valuable contribution to reducing health inequalities and supports the delivery of our LAA targets including:
- Reducing the mortality rate from all circulatory diseases under age 75 (NI121 target for the City area)
- Reducing all-age all-cause mortality rate (NI120 target for the County area)
- Increasing adult participation in sport (NI8 target for the City and County areas)
