Be seen to go green in West Bridgford!

Published on April 8, 2009

Green Streets West Bridgford launches on Friday 24th April 2009.

There’s an exciting new project hitting the streets of West Bridgford this Friday – Green Streets!  It’s a new initiative designed to get people thinking, and hopefully going, green.  There will be fun, eco-friendly activities happening across the area – everything from free bike checks to Nordic Walking taster sessions.  It’s dead easy to get involved, wear green to show your support and head into West Bridgford.  Our Kanga will even be there joining in the fun!

We want you all to get out and about using public transport – if you’ve never tried it before now’s the perfect time.  NCT will be in the Central Avenue area selling Easy Rider tickets for the first time in West Bridgford, so hopping on the bus will be easier than ever before.  If that’s not enough for you, stores and cafes will be offering discounts or special treats to visitors with a valid bus ticket for the day.

And that’s just a small taster of what’s to come.  Green Streets will take over on the last Friday of every month, helping you to get the green-living bug.
