The Big Wheel’s annual free breakfast targeted at cyclists – seasoned or beginner – is back! In partnership with both Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council and in celebration of National Bike Week (read on to find out more about this event), the Wheelie Big Breakfast returns on Thursday 24th June 2010.
The Wheelie Big Breakfast is our annual push to demonstrate to you, the public, just how good cycling can be – for the environment and also for your health. Cycling is a great way to start the day so on Thursday 24th June, instead of taking the car why not cycle into work and call in for a free breakfast en route?
All you need to do is cycle to Old Market Square between 8am and 10am and in praise and appreciation of your efforts we will serve you up a scrumptious free breakfast – choose from meat, veggie or vegan options.
We’d love you to stick around and check out the other cycling and health related activities that will be there on the day – you could get your bike checked for free, slurp a smoothie made purely from pedal power and find out information on bike and cycle routes around Greater Nottingham from our experts.
Register now to guarantee your free breakfast and to be entered into our prize draw to win £100 of bike shop vouchers! Visit www.thebigwheel.org.uk/bigbreakfast and sign up.
Hot on the heels of the Wheelie Big Breakfast comes our Cycle Forum. Join us at 10.30am in the Council House to learn more about the future of cycling in Greater Nottingham and future cycling initiatives. This is your chance to ask any questions, or give your feedback on what matters to you as a cyclist – you can even make an announcement and share details about your own cycling projects.
