January Sale – Tram 30 Day Ticket Price Slashed

Published on January 4, 2010

Customers travelling by tram this month can enjoy cheaper travel thanks to a 20% price reduction on monthly tickets.

Between 4th January and 31st January 2010 inclusive, the 30 Tram Days ticket has been reduced by 20% from £31.50 to just £25, bringing the daily price of travel down to just 83 pence!

This ticket is purchased in advance from nearly 340 local PayPoint retailers across Greater Nottingham, Alfreton, Belper, Derby, Eastwood, Ilkeston, Heanor, Mansfield and Sutton in Ashfield – as denoted with the yellow PayPoint sign outside shops. A full list of local retailers is available online at www.thetram.net.

Customers simply show the ticket to the tram conductor when they travel on the tram.

Commenting on the price reduction, Anthony Carver-Smith Marketing Manager said, “At just 83 pence per day, travelling on the tram with our 30 day PayPoint ticket really is the cheapest way for customers to get into the City Centre, from early until late, seven days a week.

For less frequent travellers, a 10 trip ticket PayPoint ticket is also available at £13.00 – the equivalent of just £1.30 per trip and the ten trips last 1 year from the time of purchase.

Trams run up to every 5 minutes during the Monday to Saturday daytime and offer a fast and hassle free way to get to and from the City Centre.
