The 27th Annual Event will take place on 22nd June 2008
The Great Notts Bike Ride is an amazing event – it’s crammed full of thousands of cyclists of all ages and abilities who come together on the 22nd June 2008. This year the ride has two new routes and is hoping to raise loads of cash for charity.
The aim is to raise £80,000 for five charities: the Geoff Thomas Foundation, Marie Curie Cancer Care, When you Wish Upon A Star, Rainbows Hospice and Cerebral Palsy Sport.
Council chairman John Allin said: “Cycling is rapidly becoming a more popular mode of transport in the county and we want to use this event to demonstrate how easy it is to get around on your bike rather than getting in the car.”
The Big Wheel are delighted to be one of the sponsors for the event and will be present at the day with the giant Kangaroo mascot to wish all of our cyclists good luck!
