From Monday – Friday if you live or work in the City you can go to Nottingham Castle for free (remember to take proof! Check their website for more details). As well as the usual exhibits about Nottingham history, and chance to see the latest art exhibition in the gallery, there will be fun activities throughout the summer, including story days.
Green’s Windmill in Sneinton is another free source of family fun. Open Wednesday – Sunday, 10am – 4pm, they have a packed programme of fun activities that will help your kids learn about science while they play.
And of course there are lots of free festivals happening across the city throughout the summer – including the fantastic Children’s Festival, full of fun, exciting events to keep your kids occupied!

Animal lovers should try Stonebridge City Farm, open 10am – 4pm everyday except Friday, when it’s open 12 noon – 4pm. There you’ll find all types of animals from lambs to llamas! Visit their website to find out more.
