The new NCT Mobile Travel Centre brings discounted travel closer to home
There’s a new bus in town, one that’s set to help all of you get cheaper travel. The hard-working chaps at NCT’s Engineering Department have transformed the inside of this special vehicle, turning it from a bog standard bus to a marvellous Mobile Travel Centre. The seats have been removed and replaced with a purpose built counter and all the equipment needed to issue and renew Easyrider Citycard smart cards.
The Easyrider Citycard smart cards offer massive savings on travelling by bus and tram. You can enjoy unlimited travel on NCT buses and NET trams in Greater Nottingham for less than £1 if you buy a year’s card. And even a weekly card will offer travel for just £2 – a 33% saving compared to buying a day ticket. You can also use this handy card to get savings at shops, restaurants and lots of other fun places to go in town.
The fab new Mobile Travel Centre will visit local town centres and colleges across the city on 3 days a week, bringing all the benefits of the Easyrider Citycard closer to home. There will also be timetables for every NCT bus on board and a pair of NCT staff ready and waiting to help you with any questions you might have about Nottingham City Travel.
We’ve listed the Mobile Travel Centre timetable below, which is now in action. Don’t worry if you can’t see your local town centre on there – suggestions are being taken for new sites for 2010 – just ring the Travel Centre on 0115 950 6070.
- Arnold Town Centre, near Arnold Market, 10am – 4pm. Fridays: 23rd October, 6th November, 20th November, 4th December, 18th December
- Beeston Town Centre, near Beeston Square, 10am – 4pm. Fridays: 16th October, 30th October, 27th November, 11th December
- Bulwell Town Centre, near Bulwell Market, 10am – 4pm. Tuesdays: 27th October, 10th November, 24th November, 8th December, 15th December
- Clifton, Leisure Centre, 10am – 4pm. Tuesdays: 20th October, 3rd November, 17th November, 1st December
- South Nottingham College, Clifton, 8.30am – 9.30am. Tuesdays: Every Tuesday 3rd November until 15th December inclusive
- South Nottingham College, West Bridgford, 8.30am – 10am. Thursdays: Every Thursday 22nd October until 17th December inclusive
- West Bridgford Library (inside), 11am – 4.30pm. Thursdays: Every Thursday 22nd October until 17th December inclusive
