Tonya’s Challenge Off-Road Charity Bike Ride Sunday 26th April 2009

Have you heard about Tonya’s Challenge? It’s an off-road charity bike ride taking place on Sunday 26th April 2009. Taking in beautiful scenery, rolling hills and offering a choice of routes ranging from 5 to 37 miles it’s a great way to get back into cycling in time for summer. There’s no need to bring refreshments (unless you’re tackling one of the longer rides) because there are plenty on offer on your way around. There are even tasty treats on offer at the finish line at Southwell Rugby Club – the rides start here too.

All you have to do to sign up is visit their website and pay your entry fee. If you’re quick you can get the special “early bird” fees, available until the 18th April. The money from your entry fees goes to the Southwell Care Project, a local charity that supports adults with learning difficulties. You aren’t asked to raise any sponsorship – all the funds are raised through the fees.

We hope you all take on Tonya’s Challenge. It’s a great day out and it raises funds for a worthy cause, what more could you ask for?
