A series of free Heritage Open Days are running at sites across Nottingham from Thursday 10th – Sunday 13th September 2009
Have you ever wondered what goes on backstage at a theatre, wanted to walk through a locked door in a library or hop over a fence and into an allotment? Well, now’s your chance! For the next fours days heritage sites across Nottingham will be inviting you to explore behind the scenes.
There are a series of talks, tours and special exhibitions happening at a range of places at various times from Thursday 10th – Sunday 13th September 2009. Whether you want to visit the Council House or the caves, the Nottinghamshire Archives or the Nottingham Playhouse you’ll find something fun and exciting to discover wherever you go.
You can take part in special Victorian activities in the Adams building. Taste traditional Caribbean cuisine made using local produce in the St Ann’s Allotments. Or go on a tour of the city that’ll show you the beautiful decorations on our buildings that normally go unnoticed.
There are so many hidden treasures to discover at these special events – make sure you don’t miss out!
