Enjoy a taste of the Caribbean in the heart of the city

Caribbean Carnival takes place at Forest Recreation Ground on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July 2009, 12 noon – 10pm

The temperature may be dropping but things are hotting up at the Forest Recreation Ground for this year’s Caribbean Carnival.

There’s plenty to enjoy at the event – from gospel to garbage, reggae to RnB – and that’s just the music!  There’s also a funfair, arts and crafts activities, and a chance to sample some delicious Caribbean cuisine.  And the Forest is easy peasy to get to without a car – just hop on the tram or use triptimes to plan your route by bus.

So head down to the Forest between 12 noon and 10pm for a fantastic, fun and car-free day.

If you need to know more about public transport fares then click here for the lowdown on buses and trams.  We’d recommend using the kangaroo ticket – it lets you hop on and off all trams, trains and buses in the Greater Nottingham area, making your journey a breeze.
